NEW CASTLE —
A shooting Tuesday night on the East Side resulted in a man being flown to a Pittsburgh hospital.
Initial 911 reports indicated the man had been shot in the neck around 8:30 p.m.
New Castle Police Chief Bobby Salem said Brian Segers, 38, apparently was shot in the doorway of 1017 Adams St. where he lives with his girlfriend.
Salem said no one is in custody yet, and police were still gathering information about the incident Tuesday night.
A neighbor reported hearing what he had thought were fireworks, then he heard screaming coming from the house.
