High-speed chase follows retail theft incident

NEW CASTLE — A Mahoningtown man is facing multiple charges following a high-speed pursuit Wednesday afternoon through several municipalities.

Union Township police said Jordan E. McMullen, 19, was seen stuffing $200 worth of merchandise into a tote bag at Walmart yesterday afternoon.

Stopped by a loss prevention officer, McMullen shoved her and an elderly greeter to the ground, possibly breaking the greeter’s hip, police said.
