Woman injured in Shenango crash

NEW CASTLE — A Youngstown woman was injured when her vehicle rolled over Monday on the Route 422 bypass.

Shenango Township police said Amber Harman, 26, was traveling east shortly after 8 a.m. when she lost control on the slush-covered road.

The vehicle slid off the road and hit a tree and rock wall before rolling onto its passenger side.

Harman had to be extricated by police and Noga Ambulance personnel.

She was taken to Jameson Hospital. Attempts to determine her condition from the hospital were unsuccessful.

Her vehicle was towed.

The Shenango Township Volunteer Fire Department assisted police at the accident site.

A letter writer to The News has suggested there’s plenty to be negative about when it comes to the city of New Castle. In general, are you negative or hopeful about our city?

I’m negative. Nepotism, corruption, and incompetence have ruled for years. Nothing has changed.
I’m hopeful. I view the county as a whole, so there’s a lot to be positive about.
Mixed. I think we’re like any other area. You have to take the bad with the good.
