NEW CASTLE —
New Castle City Council is seeking residents who are interested in serving on three city boards.
Positions will be filled on the Board of Health, the Historical Architectural Review Board and the Uniform Construction Board of Appeals. Terms of current members have expired or will expire by Dec. 31.
Interested residents should send letters of interest with resumes to the city clerk at city hall, 230 N. Jefferson St., New Castle, Pa. 16101.

Woman rescued at McConnell's Mill
Emergency personnel fly a woman to a Pittsburgh hospital Monday afternoon after she was rescued at McConnell's Mill State Park.
Emergency personnel have rescued a woman who fell down a hillside at McConnell's Mill State Park. Authorities were called to the scene around 2 p.m. The victim was reportedly flown to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment.

Police use Taser in wanted man’s arrest
New Castle police say they used a Taser to arrest an Ellwood City man who was wanted on warrants. Police on Wednesday took 21-year-old Colby James Marshall of 5213 Ellwood Road into custody when they learned he was at a New Castle pharmacy.
