Mobile home fire under investigation

NEW CASTLE — A fire that destroyed a mobile home in Little Beaver Township Monday morning is under investigation.

Enon Valley Volunteer Fire Chief Ben Hostetler said the state police fire marshal has been called in to determine the cause of the blaze on Valley View Drive.

The occupant, John Powell, was able to escape the fire, but suffered some smoke inhalation, singed hair and heat to the face, Hostetler said. Powell refused medical attention, he said.

Firefighters were called at 7:05 a.m.

Assisting Enon Valley were departments from New Beaver, Big Beaver, Darlington and New Galilee.
