Three teens facing charges

NEW CASTLE — A man and two juveniles were arrested after allegedly starting a fire in a Wayne Township trailer.

Jamison Stewart, 18, of Ellwood City, and two 17-year-olds, both from New Castle, were found on property in the 300 block of Bruce Lane, Wayne Township, about 10:45 a.m. Monday.

State police said the three had been inside two trailers on the property and had started a small, controlled fire in one of them. Police said two other people had fled the area and could not be located. They have since been identified as John Lucchesi, 18, of Ellwood City and a 16-year-old male from Ellwood City.

Stewart was arraigned before District Judge Scott McGrath on charges of burglary and criminal trespassing. He was released on $2,500 bond with the condition that he arrive at his preliminary hearing Dec. 31 and that he have an attorney.

Police said the two juveniles were released to their parents after consulting with Lawrence County Juvenile Probation. They will be charged by juvenile petition.

Police said charges are pending against Lucchesi and the 16-year-old.
