Man sought in apartment invasion

NEW CASTLE — A West Side man is wanted in connection with the break-in of a Crestview Gardens apartment Thursday morning.

New Castle police said Christopher Clinton Burse, 23, of 325 Locust St., refused to leave a woman’s apartment on Pin Oak Drive. They also noted he is on the no-trespassing list at that apartment complex.

Police told him to leave around 5:30 a.m. and escorted him from the property.

Officers were called back to the woman’s apartment about 6 a.m. because she told police Burse had forced his way inside and took a key to a vehicle. She said he kicked a computer monitor and damaged it, then ran.

Officers were unable to find Burse in the area after that.

He is charged with burglary, defiant trespass and criminal mischief and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
