Motorcyclist injured in collision

NEW CASTLE — A motorcyclist was injured when his bike collided with a car on the city’s North Hill.

New Castle police said Raymond G. Klimchuk, 73, of 211 W. Moody Ave. was northbound on Wilmington Avenue around 1:15 p.m. Wednesday and he turned left onto Moody Avenue into the path of a motorcycle ridden by Richard Klein, 70, of 1925 Pennsylvania Ave.

Klimchuk told officers he had not seen the motorcycle approaching, according to police.

Klein suffered moderate injury, police said, and was taken to Jameson Hospital where he was treated and released.
