Neshannock teen critical after firefighters, mom pull him from blaze

NEW CASTLE — A 16-year-old Neshannock Township youth is in critical condition at a Pittsburgh hospital after a fire gutted his home.

The young man, whose name is not being released, was pulled from his bedroom window by Neshannock Township police officers and his mother, Jennifer Bees, when a fire spread through his home at 1245 Kings Chapel Road this morning.

First responders were called at 4:28 a.m. when a neighbor reported seeing smoke and flames coming from the house, constructed in 1920, and formerly served the community as a school house. Six local volunteer fire departments responded to the early morning fire.

The teen, who suffered smoke inhalation, was taken to Jameson Hospital by ambulance then flown to Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. Police said his mother was treated at Jameson Hospital for minor burns and serious cuts to her feet from broken glass at the scene. Two other family members were uninjured.

Reporter Nancy Lowry is working on this developing story.

On Wednesday, the House of Representatives voted to authorize Speaker John Boehner to sue President Obama for allegedly overstepping his legal authority with the way he's handled Obamacare. Good call?

Yes. Obama's been overstepping his authority since day one in office. It's time he pay the piper.
No. The allegations are ridiculous and the law suit is a waste of time and tax payer money.
I don't know. I'm not a huge fan of Obama, but the suit seems a little extreme.
