Suspect sought in burglary, robbery

NEW CASTLE — A Detroit man is accused of forcing his way into an apartment and stealing a woman’s cell phone from her.

New Castle police Wednesday charged James Thomas Stewart Jr., 25, with burglary, robbery, criminal trespass, theft, simple assault, defiant trespass, harassment and two counts of recklessly endangering another person.

A Crestview Gardens woman reported to police that Stewart, who is an acquaintance, had knocked on her apartment door around 11:30 p.m. Jan. 10, then forced his way into her home and pushed her, causing her to trip over her child who had been crawling on the floor. She said she fell backward into the child’s playpen and hit her head on an entertainment center. As she tried to get up, Stewart rummaged through her pockets and took her cellphone, then ran from the apartment, she told police.

District Judge Melissa A. Amodie has issued a warrant for Stewart’s arrest.

Are you concerned enough about the Heartbleed bug on the Internet to change all of your social media and website passwords?

Yes. It’s always a good idea to change passwords regularly anyway. I just have so many, I’m not sure where to start.
No. From what I’ve read, companies are still trying to figure out how to fix the flaw. The bad guys will just have access to my NEW passwords, too.
Not sure, but I blame Al Gore. He invented the Internet, right? How’s he going to get us out of this mess?
