Woman injured in one-vehicle crash

NEW CASTLE — A New Castle woman was hospitalized after a one-vehicle accident Tuesday on Ellwood Road.

According to Shenango Township police, Eileen A. Mesko, 60, was northbound on Ellwood Road at 11:15 a.m. For an unknown reason, her car went off the road near Mosser Avenue, traveled through a yard and hit a tree head-on.

Members of the Shenango Volunteer Fire Department responded and extricated Mesko. She was stabilized at the scene by Noga Ambulance personnel while a helicopter landing site was set up near Harmony Baptist Church.

Mesko was taken by Stat Medevac helicopter to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Ohio.

Her condition was unavailable from the hospital Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the House of Representatives voted to authorize Speaker John Boehner to sue President Obama for allegedly overstepping his legal authority with the way he's handled Obamacare. Good call?

Yes. Obama's been overstepping his authority since day one in office. It's time he pay the piper.
No. The allegations are ridiculous and the law suit is a waste of time and tax payer money.
I don't know. I'm not a huge fan of Obama, but the suit seems a little extreme.
