New Castle police make arrest in South Side homicide

NEW CASTLE — Charges have been filed in a shooting death last month on the city's South Side.

New Castle police have charged Carlos Anthony Thompson, 38, in the Jan. 30 shooting of Robert Quincy Brown.

Brown's body was found in the Sciota Street area of the South Side with a gunshot wound to the head.

Police say that as the result of an investigation, Thompson became a suspect and he was arrested Tuesday. Officers say that Thompsons admitted to the shooting during questioning.
