Cars damaged at Preston Motors

NEW CASTLE — Four cars in the Preston Motors lot were hit and another damaged Tuesday morning when a driver lost control.

Neshannock Township police said Albert J. Mangino, 23, of 322 E. Maitland Lane, was southbound on Wilmington Road near Kenneth Avenue about 7 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle.

Police said Mangino crossed the center turn lane and northbound lane before his car left the road, entered the Preston lot and struck four parked vehicles. Officers said one of the cars Mangino hit was pushed into a fifth vehicle.

No injuries were reported, but police said Mangino’s vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed.

Police said the cars parked at Preston Motors sustained light to moderate damage.

Mangino will be cited for driving at an unsafe speed and with an expired registration.
