Another bank reported robbed in New Castle

NEW CASTLE — Downtown New Castle was the scene of another bank robbery early Thursday afternoon.

Just after noon there were reports that someone had robbed the downtown branch of Huntington Bank.

The robber was described as a white male. A white male also recently robbed First Merit Bank along Wilmington Road in Neshannock Township and GNC Federal Credit Union in downtown New Castle.

Following the robbery, New Castle police issued a bulletin for a late-1990s model GMC truck with a ladder rack. They said it was possible the passenger window in the truck was broken.
