NEW CASTLE —
Neshannock Township residents are reminded that property and per capita taxes must be paid by Dec. 31.
Any property tax not paid by that date will be filed with the Lawrence County Tax Claim Bureau for collection. Per capita tax not paid by then will be filed for collection with Sharp Collections.
Personal checks will be accepted this week only. After that, taxes must be paid with a bank check or cash. Neshannock taxes cannot be paid by credit card.
There will be no office hours next week. However, the tax office will observe regular hours — 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. — Thursday and Dec. 26 and 27. Additional office hours of noon to 4 p.m. will be observed on Dec. 28 and 31.
More information is available by calling (724) 652-8430.
