NEW CASTLE —
A Mahoningtown man has been charged for allegedly trying to suffocate a woman.
Brandon M. Otlowski, 23, of 613 N. Cedar St. faces one count each of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment in connection with the incident, which New Castle police say occurred around 8 a.m. Nov. 17. Charges were filed last week.
The woman told Otlowski talks a lot in his sleep and has gotten out of bed to walk around the house recently.
She said that while she was sleeping, Otlowski pressed a pillow over her head and held her by the neck, screaming, “I will kill you.”
She told police Otlowski had apologized, but she made him leave her home.
Otlowski told police the woman woke him up screaming and he realized what he was doing. He said he does not remember any part of the incident.
