Man escapes injury after being hit by car

NEW CASTLE — A New Beaver borough man escaped injury when he was hit by a vehicle.

According to state police, the driver had been trying to break into the victim’s shed, when he sped off, striking the man.

Police said the incident occurred Nov. 8 in the Frederick Mobile Home Park, but details weren’t released until Saturday.

Officers said the victim confronted someone breaking into his shed and the person got into a silver vehicle and took off. That’s when the victim was hit. However, he was not hurt, police said.
