Police: Phone photos lead to trespass charges

NEW CASTLE — A Crestview Gardens man is facing charges for allegedly photographing someone’s house and sending pictures to a girlfriend.

A woman reported to New Castle police that Andrew Schmitt III, 22, of Apt. 2D, 1138 Parkwood Court, was taking pictures of her house in the 700 block of Superior Street around 2 a.m. Thursday. The woman claimed Schmitt also took pictures of her son’s car and sent them via text messages to Schmitt’s former girlfriend. The girlfriend allegedly forwarded the picture messages to the woman’s phone.

She also reported the tires to her son’s car had been slashed.

Police said nine photos were taken of the woman’s house at close range and included shots of the front and side doors and the house number. The photos were time stamped by his phone at 1:53 a.m., according to police.

Schmitt is charged with loitering and prowling at night, criminal trespass and harassment. He was sent a summons to appear in court.

On Wednesday, the House of Representatives voted to authorize Speaker John Boehner to sue President Obama for allegedly overstepping his legal authority with the way he's handled Obamacare. Good call?

Yes. Obama's been overstepping his authority since day one in office. It's time he pay the piper.
No. The allegations are ridiculous and the law suit is a waste of time and tax payer money.
I don't know. I'm not a huge fan of Obama, but the suit seems a little extreme.
