NEW CASTLE —
A Grove City woman was critically injured after being ejected from her vehicle in an accident Monday.
According to state police, Dixie L. Bonanni, 61, was traveling west on Route 208 in Wilmington Township, just west of Byler Lane, at 9:50 a.m. when she lost control of her 2006 Chevrolet.
The vehicle went off the right side of the road, hit a mailbox, a guide rail and a tree, causing Bonanni to be ejected.
She was taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, where Monday night, a nursing supervisor said she was in critical condition. Police noted Bonanni had not been wearing a seat belt.
