NEW CASTLE —
New Castle police are looking for a man they say assaulted a woman with a baseball bat.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of 34-year-old Donald Cleaver is asked to call the police department at (724) 656-9300. According to police, Cleaver’s last known address in 735 Mount Air Road.
Officers were dispatched at 1:07 a.m. yesterday to 814 W. Washington St., apartment 309, for a report of a female who had been assaulted with a baseball bat.
Upon arrival, police located her on the kitchen floor, bleeding from the facial area.
The victim was flown to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown with what police called “severe head injuries.”
Cleaver faces charges of attempted homicide, two counts of aggravated assault, three counts of simple assault and single counts of terroristic threats and recklessly endangering another person.
