Woman sought in gun threat case

NEW CASTLE — A Crestview Gardens woman is wanted for allegedly threatening another woman with a gun.

New Castle police have charged Marissa Nicole Donohue, 20, of Apt. 2A, 1134 Parkwood Court, and a warrant has been issued for her arrest.

She faces one count each of possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, terroristic threats and harassment.

According to police, a woman called 911 and said Donohoe and a man were at her home, threatening her with a gun.

She said they had been outside and the man had sent Donohue to get a gun and she returned carrying a pistol. Donohue told her they “had a bullet with your name on it,” the witness told police.

Later, officers saw two people fitting the couple’s description and the woman identified Donohue as the person who had brandished the gun and threatened her.

Police learned Donohue has a felony conviction. She was arrested in a drug raid in Crestview Gardens in August. She also was arrested in May for allegedly stealing jewelry and selling it at a local jewelry and pawn shop and for allegedly stealing money.

Her sentencings, following plea agreements, are slated for February and March.

A letter writer to The News has suggested there’s plenty to be negative about when it comes to the city of New Castle. In general, are you negative or hopeful about our city?

I’m negative. Nepotism, corruption, and incompetence have ruled for years. Nothing has changed.
I’m hopeful. I view the county as a whole, so there’s a lot to be positive about.
Mixed. I think we’re like any other area. You have to take the bad with the good.
