Police charge women with prostitution

NEW CASTLE — Two women were charged with prostitution after alleged incidents last week on the city’s South Side.

The arrests were made by the New Castle Police Department’s newly formed Special Response Team.

Charged in separate July 2 incidents were Colleen Huizar, 50, of Rear 844 Franklin Ave., and Desiree J. Babiarz, 39, of 1927 Pennsylvania Ave.

According to police, officers encountered Huizar in a parking lot on Mill Street, where an exchange of sex for cash allegedly was arranged. Police said Huizar was taken into custody and when she was searched, a crack pipe was found in her wallet. In addition to prostitution, she was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers said Babiarz was encountered in a parking lot on Long Avenue and stated she had agreed to accept cash for sex. In addition to prostitution, she also was charged with public drunkenness.

Are you concerned enough about the Heartbleed bug on the Internet to change all of your social media and website passwords?

Yes. It’s always a good idea to change passwords regularly anyway. I just have so many, I’m not sure where to start.
No. From what I’ve read, companies are still trying to figure out how to fix the flaw. The bad guys will just have access to my NEW passwords, too.
Not sure, but I blame Al Gore. He invented the Internet, right? How’s he going to get us out of this mess?
