Downtown farmers market adds another day

NEW CASTLE — The New Castle Farmers Market will be open more often beginning today.

Audrey Przybylski, chairperson of the market, said the market will be open from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays along East Street between East Washington and North streets, in addition to its Saturday hours.

Przybylski said the additional day for the market is in response to requests from people to have it open during the week.

Saturday hours for the market are 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Oct. 26. The market will be open on Tuesdays through Oct. 22.

Przybylski said the market is still accepting vendors and is particularly looking for bakers.

The purpose of the market is to allow local growers and craftspeople to sell their wares.

Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 fell from the sky in Donetsk, Ukraine, on Thursday, killing all 298 people aboard. Many are speculating that Russian rebels (supported by Vladimir Putin) are responsible for downing the aircraft. What do you think?

Yes. All evidence points that way.
No. Everyone is so quick to point fingers, but there's not enough evidence to support claims of Russian guilt.
I'm not sure. I'll just wait until the investigation is over to make up my mind.
What is up with these Malaysian Airlines planes? I know one airline I won't be flying any time soon...
