Woman reports uncapped needles near school

NEW CASTLE — A lower East Side woman reported she had stepped on an uncapped needle in a yard near Thaddeus Stevens School.

The woman told New Castle police she had been walking her dog in the 900 block of Harrison Street around 2:30 p.m. July 7 when she was stuck by a needle on the ground near a tree by the school.

She discovered three or four needles on the ground that were uncapped, she told police.

She was treated at a hospital.

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal signed “unprecedented” legislation yesterday to expand gun rights in his state. Good idea?

Yes. Expanding the scope of where people can carry guns can help halt violent crimes and make those places safer.
No. Carrying guns into bars and schools is NEVER a good idea. I think it will lead to more violence.
Not sure, but I don’t plan to visit Georgia any time soon.
