Bomb threat clears local campus

NEW CASTLE — The Lawrence County campus of Butler Community College was evacuated early Tuesday afternoon because of a bomb threat.

Students and staff were ordered to leave, and police were checking the building along State Street in Union Township with dogs for possible explosives.

The entrance to the campus was blocked.
