A Grove City man was arrested after police claim they found him in his car injecting himself with suspected drugs.
Shenango Township police said a caller reported seeing a man slumped over the steering wheel of a car in a grocery store parking lot.
Police found 34-year-old Matthew R. Sipe sticking a needle into his right hand with a yellow nylon belt wrapped around his upper right arm.
The officer knocked on the car window and the man dropped the needle on the floor. A water bottle cap containing suspected heroin was found on the seat of the car. Police said they also found a piece of cotton and a plastic bag containing 105 syringes and suspected heroin.
Obtaining permission to search the vehicle Sipe was found in, officers said they found a bag of suspected heroin a bottle containing six white and five blue suspected Alprazolam pills inside Sipe’s jacket pocket.
He is charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and adulteration or misbranding of a controlled substance.
He was issued a summons to appear in court.
