Police warn of burglary scam

NEW CASTLE — Pulaski Township police are warning about a couple posing as utility or other companies, then entering homes and stealing.

Pulaski’s police and surrounding departments have received reports of people stopping at homes and luring residents outside while one person enters the house and steals jewelry or other items.

Incidents were reported last week in Mahoning Township and in northern Butler County, according to Pulaski police.

The couple is said to be driving a black Ford Explorer or Mercury Mariner with tinted rear windows. The couple told one resident they were from a tri-state tree company.

Anyone in the county who is visited by anyone suspicious should report it to their local police department by calling 911 if an emergency and (724) 656-9300 if a non-emergency.

Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 fell from the sky in Donetsk, Ukraine, on Thursday, killing all 298 people aboard. Many are speculating that Russian rebels (supported by Vladimir Putin) are responsible for downing the aircraft. What do you think?

I'm not sure. I'll just wait until the investigation is over to make up my mind.
What is up with these Malaysian Airlines planes? I know one airline I won't be flying any time soon...
