Authorities identify drowning victim

NEW CASTLE — A Youngstown man drowned yesterday in a Hillsville area quarry known locally as “The Bahamas.”

The body of Aaron Mahdee, 20, was recovered about 8 p.m. He was found in about 32 feet of water by divers from the New Castle and Lawrence County diving teams.

Local diver David Rishel said Mahdee and two friends were swimming in the private quarry off Eric Drive.

More information will be provided in tomorrow’s edition of the New Castle News.

Have you held or will you hold a garage/yard sale this year?

I have and it was a success! It's a great way to get rid of some junk and make a little extra pocket money.
I have, but it didn't go over so well. Better luck next time?
I haven't yet, but I plan to.
