NEW CASTLE —
Ellwood City firefighters responded Thursday to a call that turned out to be a burnt pizza.
A department spokesman said a pizza apparently had been left in the oven too long, causing the food to burn.
No damage was reported in the 4:10 a.m. call to the apartment at 711 Lawrence Ave.

New Castle police say they used a Taser to arrest an Ellwood City man who was wanted on warrants. Police on Wednesday took 21-year-old Colby James Marshall of 5213 Ellwood Road into custody when they learned he was at a New Castle pharmacy.
