Home invasion suspect taken into custody

NEW CASTLE — Another suspect in a home invasion in North Beaver Township has been taken into custody.

Christopher Isaiah Waters, 21, of 3063 McClelland Ave. was arrested by state police Tuesday and arraigned on charges of burglary, robbery, conspiracy and theft in connection with the incident that occurred in the early morning hours Friday at a mobile home on Hillsville-Bessemer Road.

Waters was ordered lodged in the Lawrence County jail by District Judge Melissa Amodie. His bond was set a $100,000 and a preliminary hearing is planned for Wednesday.

Still reported to be at large is Ronald Eugene Clark II, 41, of 3016 McClelland Ave. He is accused of firing a gun during the home invasion and pointing it at a 2-year-old girl. He is charged with burglary, two counts of robbery, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and carrying a firearm without a license.

Police are asking anyone with information on Clark’s whereabouts to contact them at (724) 598-2211.

Also charged in the case are Richard A. Javens, 42, of 3063 McClelland Ave. He remains in a Pittsburgh hospital after being shot in the chest by the homeowner. Police said he was critically wounded but is expected to survive.

Javens is charged with burglary, robbery, conspiracy, criminal trespass, prohibited possession of a firearm and possession of an instrument of a crime.

A fourth person charged in the case, Michael Aaron Waters, 23, of 3063 McClelland Ave., is being held in the county jail on $100,000 bond on charges of conspiracy and carrying a concealed firearm without a license.
