Man wanted in home entry, assault

NEW CASTLE — A South Side man is wanted in connection with an alleged burglary and assault.

New Castle police charged Daniel Scott Coliny, 21, of 411 Galbreath St. in connection with the incident, which occurred in the 1400 block of Grimes Street around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

The resident told police he had been at home when Coliny and another man entered his house, both punched him and tried to steal his television but he fought with them and threw them out.

A third unknown man was waiting on the front porch, he said.

The resident identified Coliny from his Facebook picture, police said.

Coliny is charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft and simple assault. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
