Union Township fire under investigation

NEW CASTLE — The cause of a house fire on Sunny Avenue in Union Township is under investigation.

The Tuesday night blaze at 1304 Sunny Ave. was confined to the kitchen of the vacant house, according to Union Township Fire Chief Steve Stasko.

He said the state police fire marshal and township police are investigating.

Firefighters received the call around 9:30 p.m. Stasko said it “was a quick knockdown.” The South New Castle Fire Department assisted.

The two-story brick house is owned by King Zub Properties LP.

A customer near Pittsburgh was shot and killed as he tried to stop a bank robber from fleeing in his getaway car. What would you have done?

I would have tried to stop the crook too, regardless of the consequences. We need more heroes to end this madness.
Let him get away. You saw what happened in this case. However, I would try to get information to help police capture him. That’s THEIR job!
