NEW CASTLE — The planned transport of an oversized vehicle through Lawrence County has been delayed.
The ladle transfer car was scheduled to depart Ravana Industries in Shenango Township Monday morning.
However, because of highway permitting requirements, state police had to weigh the vehicle prior to transport. And it turned out to be heavier than permits allowed.
The company now must dismantle some of the equipment to allow transport. There will be more details in Tuesday's edition of the New Castle News.
