Police seek suspect in multiple armed robberies

NEW CASTLE — A Bessemer man is being sought by state police in connection with a string of armed robberies.

George Elmer Keller Jr., 34, of 400 Reed Road is wanted in connection with an armed robbery Monday at the D&J Gas & Grocery on Route 551 in Little Beaver Township.

Police have already arrested on suspect in that robbery, Keller's nephew, Daniel Matthew Keller, 22, of the same address.He is lodged in the Lawrence County jail after being arrested by North Beaver Township police in connection with a robbery at the K&D convenience store in Bessemer in October.

According to officers, it's believed the pair has been involved in six armed robberies at convenience stores in western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of George Elmer Keller Jr. has been asked to contact state police at (724) 598-2211.
