Cause of traffic death determined

NEW CASTLE — Blunt force trauma resulted in the death of an Edinburg man Wednesday.

Robert McQuiston, 62, of 5393 Erie St., died following a two-car collision on State Street.

Richard Johnson, Lawrence County deputy coroner, said other factors, including coronary artery disease, could have contributed to McQuiston’s death.

Johnson said McQuiston’s westbound car and an eastbound vehicle collided at a bend in the road. He also noted McQuiston was not wearing a seat belt.
