Neshannock lockdown canceled after suspect captured

NEW CASTLE — A lockdown at the Neshannock schools was canceled early Friday afternoon after an assault suspect was captured by police.

The assault had nothing to do with the schools and instead occurred in the Pulaski area. But the suspect was followed to Neshannock Township, where he fled into the woods near Mitchell and Wilmington roads.

Police were seeking the suspect for several hours before he was captured. During that time, Neshannock schools went into lockdown as a precaution. There were no incidents on school property.

Are you concerned enough about the Heartbleed bug on the Internet to change all of your social media and website passwords?

Yes. It’s always a good idea to change passwords regularly anyway. I just have so many, I’m not sure where to start.
No. From what I’ve read, companies are still trying to figure out how to fix the flaw. The bad guys will just have access to my NEW passwords, too.
Not sure, but I blame Al Gore. He invented the Internet, right? How’s he going to get us out of this mess?
