Vehicle search turns up pills

NEW CASTLE —  The search of a vehicle stopped on the Pennsylvania Turnpike yielded 1.7 pounds of suspected oxycodone and hydrocodone pills.

State police said they had to smash the window of the Chevy Trailblazer driven by 33-year-old Burlkie Richard Gibson of Dearborn, Mich., to get him out of the car.

The pills were confiscated during a traffic stop near the Ohio line in Little Beaver Township, according to police reports.
