NEW CASTLE —
Work is continuing on replacement of the Georgetown Bridge in Plain Grove Township.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the project will keep Georgetown Road closed in the area of Taylor Run through Oct. 5.
The posted detour from the east takes traffic onto Davis Road and then right onto Golf Course Road. Then motorists are to take another right onto Plain Grove Road and follow it to Georgetown Road.
The westbound detour is the same in the opposite direction.
The project is part of a $1.8 million contract with Allison Park Contractors for improvements on several bridges in PennDOT’s District 11.
Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays when traveling through the area.
