Man robbed at gunpoint

NEW CASTLE — An employee of an East Side bar told police he was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot.

The worker said the incident occurred just after 10:30 p.m. Saturday at Club 26, when a man wearing a ski mask and hooded sweatshirt put a gun to his head and demanded money.

The thief took the man’s wallet, which contained $28, and ran, New Castle police reported.

Officers said they searched the area but did not find anyone fitting the man’s description.
