NEW CASTLE —
Shenango Township police have arrested an Ellwood City man for allegedly having a quantity of suspected oxycodone in his possession.
Alexander Tyler Stillwagon, 20, of 532 Todd Ave., was charged Tuesday with four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and four counts of possession of a controlled substance.
He was arraigned before District Judge David B. Rishel and lodged in the Lawrence County jail on $25,000 bond.
Police said other charges are pending against Stillwagon by state police in connection with some local break-ins.
Officers were called to the parking lot of Lawrence Village Plaza about noon on Sunday. They received report that two men participated in a hand-to-hand exchange, then one of them took his pants off in the parking lot and changed into another pair.
Observing a vehicle leaving the parking lot, followed and stopped the car on Route 65. Stillwagon was the driver. Police said they saw a silver-colored foil in the pocket of his sweatshirt. Searching him, they found a syringe filled with suspected oxycodone, an empty syringe, a clear bag containing three pills of suspected oxycodone, and two unused tipped cigarette filters in his pockets.
