Man heads to court on child rape charges

NEW CASTLE — A man accused of raping an 8-year-old and recording the event waived all charges to court Thursday.

Donald A. Miller, 43, of 338 Laurel Blvd., faces 29 charges including rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, indecent assault of a child and sexual abuse of a child.

He remains in the Lawrence County jail on $150,000 bond.

Miller was represented by the office of the public defender. District Judge David Rishel, presiding Thursday in Lawrence County Central Court, continued his bond.

According to court records, Miller sold an electronic notepad at a flea market Dec. 22.

The new owner found the device contained photos and videos of a man matching Miller’s description engaging in sex with an 8-year-old.

The owner took the device to New Castle police officers, who tracked down Miller. He was arrested Jan. 2.

Have you held or will you hold a garage/yard sale this year?

I have and it was a success! It's a great way to get rid of some junk and make a little extra pocket money.
I have, but it didn't go over so well. Better luck next time?
I haven't yet, but I plan to.
