City police seek suspect in credit union robbery

NEW CASTLE — New Castle police are looking for a man who held up a downtown credit union yesterday.

The robbery occurred at 9:30 a.m. at the GNC Federal Credit Union, 201 S. Jefferson St.

Police say a man entered the credit union and told a teller that he had a gun. However, no weapon was seen.

No one was injured in the incident. Police did not say if any money was taken.

Police said no information was available on any vehicle used in the robbery.
