NEW CASTLE —
Seven people were injured when a pickup truck struck an Allied Coordinated Transportation Services bus in Shenango Township.
The report of Thursday’s accident was released Tuesday by Shenango Township police.
Treated at Jameson Hospital and released were Sandra Ayersman, 63; Darlene Bradley, 42; Allen Bradley, 9; and Leonard Bradley, 14. All were passengers on the ACTS bus.
Treated at Ellwood City Hospital and released were James W. Stock Jr., 65, of 835 Lakeview Ave., driver of the ACTS bus, Kenneth L. Defonde, 65, of 1425 Brentwood Ave., Ellwood City, driver of the pickup, and Richard Scott, 68, a passenger in the bus.
Shenango police said the crash occurred around 3:10 p.m. on Ellwood Road near Hollow Road.
According to police, Stock was leaving Hollow Road and making a left turn onto Ellwood Road. Defonde, who was driving south on Ellwood Road, struck the bus near the driver’s door, police said.
No other injuries were reported.
