NEW CASTLE —
Four people have been charged for allegedly squirting people with chlorinated water from a car.
The parents of one of them also are to be charged for allegedly yelling at the police, officers said.
A Boyles Avenue woman reported to police she had been standing in front of her house with her younger brother, a juvenile, just after 12 a.m. Wednesday when a silver car drove past and someone squirted strong-smelling liquid at them.
She said the car had four occupants and she obtained a license plate number. Police said the car was registered to Carli Rae Malley, 18, of 202 E. Euclid Ave.
Officers went to Malley’s house and learned she and two others had left in her car. Malley returned shortly with the three occupants in her car.
Police said they all admitted to shooting water guns at the woman and her brother.
In addition to Malley, the others charged are Andrew Joseph Ayers, 18, 3334 S. Parkside Drive; Paul Richard Fee, 24, 119 Knoll Drive, Jackson Knolls; and Victoria Lea Greco, 19, 202 E. Euclid Ave.
All four have been cited for disorderly conduct and harassment.
Police said the parents of one of the four yelled at and insulted the officers while the suspects were being questioned, and he allegedly interrupted the investigation and told police to leave his property.
The parents also are to be charged, with disorderly conduct and disorderly house, police said.
