NEW CASTLE —
New Castle police are looking for two men who allegedly entered an Arlington Avenue home Saturday and robbed the occupants.
Police have charged 18-year-old Anthony Aeschbacher of 409 Spruce St. in connection with the home invasion.
The couple who live there told police the other man, whose identity is not yet known, had a gun.
Police said the two men entered a home in the 700 block of Arlington about 12:30 a.m. Saturday. The woman told police Aeschbacher had knocked on the front door and when she opened it, an unknown man entered behind him.
The man ran into the kitchen and told the couple to empty their pockets. He lifted his shirt and showed a gun that was tucked inside his waistband, she told police.
The couple said Aeschbacher and the other man were in their house for about five minutes and took a pack of Newport cigarettes. The unknown man told the couple, “If you call the police, we’ll come back and shoot you,” they said.
Aeshcbacher — who is still at large — is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, simple assault, theft and theft by unlawful taking.
Police are looking for more information about the identity of the man who was with him.
Anyone who has information is asked to call city police at (724) 656-9300.
