NEW CASTLE — ABC Supply Co. Inc. has experienced booming sales over the last eight years in New Castle.

As a result, the company has outgrown its South Mill Street site and will be moving its operations just a few blocks away to a larger facility.

The company will move into the former Penn Power maintenance garage at 401 S. Jefferson St., which is owned by Paul Lynch. The building is located in a light industrial area.

New Castle manager Kirk Stitt said the company is scheduled to move by July 1.

ABC is a national distributor of exterior building products, including roofing, siding and windows. The firm has 455 locations nationwide, including the one in New Castle.

The firm sells primarily to contractors, Stitt said.

ABC bought out Ultimate Exteriors in 2005, he said, adding that the company outgrew the present site “real quick.”

The South Jefferson Street building has approximately 38,000 square feet under roof and a parking lot compared to 8,500 square feet and limited space for parking on Mill Street, Stitt said.

ABC will lease the building for 10 years with an option for additional years, he said.

The firm has eight employees and is “looking to add a couple more.”

“We’ve been on an average growth of 30 percent per year.”

He said the company currently has $8 million in annual sales.

“We should be able to increase up to $15 million in sales. That’s a five-year plan,” he said.

Stitt said Lynch is making necessary construction improvements to the building to accommodate ABC.
