Gary Church: Despite an evil cookie plot, I’m Mega Stuffed today — and it feels great!

NEW CASTLE — Did you ever get the feeling that someone is trying to get rid of you?

I've felt that way recently, and I think I know who it is.

It's Mr. Nabisco, along with an accomplice.

Here's the scoop.

One reason why I'm fat: I'm a big fan of icing.

If I'm choosing a piece of cake from a sheet cake, I always pick the corner piece.

It has the most icing on it.

Cake, to me, is like a cone with a scoop of ice cream on top. It is there only to support the main treat.

Once I'm out of icing, I don't eat the rest of the cake.

It's the same with Oreo cookies. I just lick the cream centers, and throw the cookies away.

It was wonderful when they came out with Double Stuff Oreos.

My problem is, lately my doctor has informed me that my sugar is high. This probably explains why I've been so overly sweet lately.

I have been advised to avoid sweets, and the Oreo cookies fall under that category.

I was doing fine without any Oreos, until a few days ago.

That's when Mr. Nabisco introduced the Mega Stuff Oreo cookie.

The plot thickens.

Mr. Nabisco's accomplice, my wife, brought home a bag of them from the store.

She set them right out front on the kitchen counter.

I could not resist trying one after seeing that thick, cream icing.

I ended up eating most of the bag.

Obviously, their plot did not work. A few pills and my sugar is fine.

I can't wait to see what Mr. Nabisco and his accomplice have in store for me to try next.

How about just Mega Icing!
