Courtney Caughey-Stambul: Continuing the countdown of my favorite films

NEW CASTLE — Remember my post a couple of weeks ago regarding MSN Entertainment's 100 favorite films list?

If not, I'll refresh your memory. I shared which films I considered to be strong picks within the 100-81range of MSN's list. My picks included "Young Frankenstein," "Fight Club," and "West Side Story" among others.

This week, I'd like to share my thoughts on films 80-61.

1. "Back to the Future" (1985)

Everyone has seen "Back to the Future." It's one of those movies I could watch over and over again. I'm actually surprised it isn't lower on the list.

2. "Clueless" (1995)

"Clueless" shaped my pre-teen years. I owned numerous feather pens. I wish I still had those feather pens.

3. "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" (1977)

I remember my dad watching this movie when I was a kid. I remember it being pretty interesting. I definitely need to rewatch it when I get a chance.

4. "Psycho" (1960)

No surprise that this movie is one of my choices. This is one of my top 10 favorite scary movies and probably one of my favorite movies of all-time. It doesn't have much blood and gore, though it has some (that classic shower scene), but it's still plenty disturbing.

5. "Grease" (1978)

"Grease" IS my all-time favorite film. I love musicals. I love Sandy and Danny, but most of all, I love Rizzo. Stockard Channing is just awesome in this movie. She "rules the school."
