The New Castle News will publish its customary morning edition of Weekend, with normal press and delivery times.
Annual Christmas Sing,
Christmas Eve Edition
It’s time once again for the annual Christmas carol sing at the New Castle News. This year’s event will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24, in the main lobby of The News. The public is invited to join News employees in singing holiday standards.
As for our paper that day, The News will publish a mid-morning edition. Be sure to look for us out on the street on your way to a late breakfast, early lunch or last-minute shopping.
Obituary Deadline: It’s 7 a.m. for all full obituaries and 8:45 a.m. for all death notices.
Christmas Day
It won’t come down your chimney, but you can expect to open your special holiday edition of the New Castle News not long after you open your presents. The News will publish a mid-morning paper with delivery times expected before 9 a.m.
The business office will be closed.

New Year’s Eve
The New Castle News will again publish a mid-morning edition. The business office will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Obituary Deadline: It’s 7 a.m. for all full obituaries and 8:45 a.m. for all death notices.
New Year’s Day
The News will be on your doorstep in plenty of time for the big bowl games on television. A special holiday morning edition will be published.
The business office will be closed, but if you don’t get your paper, a circulation employee will be on duty from 7 to 10 a.m. Call extension 604.
