The Neshannock High girls tennis team started the season on a positive note yesterday.
The Lady Lancers won four matches in a 4-1 WPIAL Section 2-AA decision over Ellwood City Lincoln.
Meg Johntony (No. 2) and Brittany Moses (No. 3) posted singles wins for the Lady Lancers. The doubles tandems of Maria Acosta/Cecelia Weingart (No. 1) and Arti Anna Ribarevski/Erin Warvell (No. 2) also recorded victories.
Reed Kegel (No. 1) scored the lone win in singles action for the Lady Wolverines.

Wilmington rolls
The Lady Greyhounds cruised to a 5-0 District 10, Region 1-AA victory over Greenville.
Katie Chase (No. 1), Lauren Barber (No. 2) and Alanna Elliott (No. 3) earned singles wins for Wilmington (2-2 overall, 2-2 region).
The doubles tandems of Rebeccah Swerdlow/Lydea Kraynak (No. 1) and Nikki McCown/Alexis Donati (No. 2) also claimed victories.

Union wins
Jacob Jendrysik propelled the Scotties to a 193-199 nonsection win over Wilmington at Tanglewood Golf Course.
Jendrysik fired a 44, while Cole Gorgacz added a 46. Mike Galmarini contributed a 51 and Austin Burke followed with a 52.
Josh Bonnici led the Greyhounds (2-3) with a 47 and Shane McQuiston was next with a 49. Ethan Seeber notched a 51 and Collin Duffy carded a 52.
